JJ’s Chocolate Chip Pancakes

October comes with cooler temperatures, earlier sunsets, and an eerie spookiness - which is why these chocolate chip pancakes on the night of Halloween are definitely my meal of the month. These are from JJ’s, one of Columbia’s Dining halls, which is notorious for being open at late hours into the night for hungry students (such as me). While October was filled with delicious meals such as the spicy rigatoni from Carbone, ramen, and pasta, other delicacies which you could argue are much more meal-of the month provoking than random pancakes from a college dining hall, the memories and comfort I got from eating this meal compares to no other. If you know me, you know my life wouldn’t be complete without a stack of chocolate chip pancakes every once in a while. Indulging in these with friends while dressed up as Yoda was honestly such an amazing experience. Shout out to JJ’s for always hitting!
